Success Story: Mariella Rodriguez

When Mariella Rodriguez was in Uruguay, she never liked English. In high school, she hated studying English. She never needed nor saw the need for English, until four years ago, when she came to America with her husband and found herself struggling to learn the language or to live a normal life.

Free Money? Currently Accepting 2017-18 Scholarships

Most adult students who complete the ACE program and have earned their GED Credential have aspirations to pursue a college degree or receive more advanced training in vocational studies. These students are driven and motivated. As educators, we recognize the zeal and spark that has encouraged them and are inspired to know that we can play a part in this process. ACE would like to see that spark, that desire to learn, grow into a wild fire and never die.

The Road to Success Virginia Pathways (RSVP) Hospitality Management Cohort Celebrates

As students celebrated their successes, they also reflected on their situation prior to entering the program. There were tears, applause, laughter, and a sense of excitement of opportunities that have already happened or will happen because of the training and education that they had received. Six students earned a total of 41 certificates and more to come as they would sit for their final test after the luncheon. We are so proud of these participants and look forward to the next cohort, which is set to start in January, 2018. If interested, please contact us.

Our Very Own, Recognized Throughout the State

Recently, a staff member of ours was recognized by the Virginia Association for Adult and Continuing Education for Support Staff of the Year. The entire ACE leadership team was there to honor her as VAACE recognized her for her award in front of hundreds of adult educators and administrators at the VAACE Conference in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
